Spaceman sketches set #1

As a way to keep up with the painting skills, Michele and I have been doing quick little 4x6 paintings with a general space theme. These are the first 2 we did late last year.

For the image of reUltraman going from large to small, Kim suggested that from his perspective, he stays the same.

Some more drawings. A first attempt at the sequence starting with, "... And as the world is whipping by it starts to form animation cells of Jeff Smith fixing his computer on every scale of the world simultaneously..." Jeff is gonna kill me...

Flower that I saw while frolicking through the fields.

Breaking down another scene further: "... And re-ultraman drinks something ..." Just trying some things... I imagine in the second one, he's saying, "Oooo, siamese cat milk oh so sour!"

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating in space...

As I'm posting this, I just noticed that one of my robots on my desk is giving me the double middle fingers...I will avenge myself later. There's a few things that seem to come up in my work: Magicians, Catholic symbolism, Robots, Floating objects and animals doing odd things. I'm not sure where this fits in...

These aren't in any particular order. Buck Rogers-like falling through space.
